Sweat, Death and Dandies

To say yes, you have to sweat and roll up your sleeves and plunge both hands into life up to the elbows. It's easy to say no, even if it means dying.

-Jean Anouilh.

Of course, there's a little satisfaction to be found in sweat and how wonderfully the word "No!" rolls from my lips for no reason except that I'm expected to say "Yes!" but that isn't really my point at all. And, there's no such extremism involved, as much as it often feels so, but I like the quote, so sue me.

So, folks, here's a little update in the life of Lestat, the minutes of minutae, nightly notes.

I'm back on track with the web pages that have long been on hiatus oh since, what? Last year? Plans originally conceived have been chewed on, chewed up and spat out. Try chewing with these teeth, sister. However, I have hit on a theme and am now working on some kind of blueprint, complete with some new writing and... well, you'll just have to wait and see.

Incidentally, if you wonder what The Vampire Lestat is doing in his latest incarnation as a geek, forget about it. As with all things Sublime, I dabble, and may well surprise you now and then and fully intend to, but really, I am just what I always was. An idealist, man of action and florid writer. I bring the ideas, the words and I kick ass, baby.

The incomprehensible miracle of flash is being slaved on by someone else, and at the appropriate time I will shine the spot light to give them full and deserved credit. However, for now, all is under wraps.

I will say that it's not merely going to be what's been described to me as a profile or biographic page. Don't you know my biography by now? Tsk.

I'm also aware that I've lately been silent to some of you, though to by no means all, and I want to say that it's quite simply a typical reaction of mine while I simultaneously get on with it, and also sift through the emotional vagaries of the last few weeks. Stick with me, if you will. If there's anything more typical of me, it's that whatever my current pattern of behavior, I'll be doing the opposite soon enough.

That may, or may not apply to my dandy intolerant temper.

I'm beginning to enjoy it.
